BB – Bear Butte (Lob cabin, sleeps 8)
Address: 1750 Bluff Ridge Rd., Sevierville, TN 37876 (in Bluff Mountain Acres)
2BR/2BA sleeps 8, Spectacular mountain views with a wrap-around porch on a private yard surrounded by woods, with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry, game room, WiFi, hot tub, fireplace, fire pit, & horse shoe pit. Bear Butte is a beautiful pet-friendly 2 bedroom log cabin that’s perched on a hill providing spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains and rolling national forest lands below. It’s secluded from the noise and traffic, yet a very short drive away from everything you could ever want to do in this area. It has a huge wrap-around porch to give everyone their own space to enjoy the serenity of this private wooded setting. It has a large private park-like grassy yard surrounded by forests, with a charcoal grill, fire pit, horse shoe pit, and hot tub (or leave the heat off and use it as a cool-off pool) for your enjoyment. It is located just a few miles off the main parkway of Pigeon Forge, within short driving distance to many shows and restaurants, and only minutes from Dollywood, Gatlinburg, and all the fun that Pigeon Forge and The Smokies has to offer. While this location provides privacy and seclusion, it also has the benefit of providing multiple short driving routes to all area attractions, which is helpful to avoid high traffic areas. Our game room includes a regulation pool table, darts, and a “Puck hole” table … the new craze in gaming (a cross between corn hole and shuffleboard) for tons of family fun and laughs together. This property has everything you could want for your relaxation and entertainment, so you really might not ever want to leave. There is plenty of parking space (for at least 5 cars), so why not have all your friends and relatives meet here for some good times together? Guests may also enjoy our local community center outdoor pool with slide and spray feature, indoor heated pool, walking track, aerobics, racquetball, volleyball and basketball courts, bowling, childcare, etc., all for a low daily fee.
Fishermen may want to bring their boat, and take the family to the beautiful Douglas Dam Headwaters Campground and Park. It has a ramp, swimming beach and day use dock, on one of Tennessee’s finest bass fishing lakes, host of the Bass Master’s Elite tournament, and complete with a beach for family swimming fun.
This is NOT your typical rental cabin. If you’ve ever rented in this area before, you have likely had to drive many, many miles up and down steep, winding, mountainous roads to a location that has a hundred cabins stacked like sardines a few feet from each other. This cabin sits on almost an acre sized lot, surrounded by woods, with two unbuilt wooded lots to one side and a huge tract of wooded land behind and in front (to provide an unobstructed view with no other cabins in it). Bring a hand saw and splitter, and cut all the dead wood you can find for free firewood for the fire pit. No obnoxious neighbors, or loud children running around. It’s just you and Mother Nature here … yet you are close to everything! We even have our own chlorination and carbon filtration system on our water supply, so it is safe, and clean to drink, with no sulfur odor or iron color, like other cabins sometime have.
BB Bedding: Master-King/Spare 1-King/Living room-Full futon*/Game room-Full futon*
* We recommend guests bring an air mattress if planning to use the futons. The cushions leave a void in the center when opened up into the bed position, which does not provide a very flat sleeping surface.

+++ If you plan to come in the winter, plan to bring a snow shovel, tire chains, or a 4×4. Our driveway is steep (which is how we get the awesome views), and we DON’T plow it. You may find that on the occasion if it snows, you may have to park at the bottom and walk up the hill. We do NOT offer refunds for weather, so if you are worried about this, please buy trip insurance (we don’t sell it, but it is available online).
